Meera had always dreamt of visiting a place where the sea sparkled like a sapphire and nature remained untouched by time. Her dream came true when she set foot in Palawan, Philippines, a place often hailed as the world’s best island.

Her adventure began in El Nido, where she kayaked through the crystal-clear waters of the Big Lagoon, surrounded by towering limestone cliffs. She then sailed to the Small Lagoon, where she swam in the turquoise waters and discovered a hidden cave, feeling as if she had stepped into another world.

The next stop was Coron, known for its mesmerizing shipwreck diving sites. Donning her scuba gear, Meera plunged into the depths to explore the hauntingly beautiful WWII wrecks. The underwater world here was nothing short of magical, teeming with vibrant corals and exotic marine life.

One of the highlights of her journey was Kayangan Lake, dubbed the cleanest lake in the Philippines. A short trek led her to a breathtaking viewpoint before she dipped into its warm, emerald-green waters, surrounded by limestone formations.

In Port Barton, Meera embraced the slow island life. She spent her days lounging on white sandy beaches, swimming with sea turtles, and enjoying fresh seafood prepared by the locals.

Before leaving Palawan, she made a final stop at the Underground River in Puerto Princesa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As she cruised through the dark cave on a small boat, she marveled at the incredible rock formations and the eerie silence broken only by the sounds of bats and water droplets.
